Podcasting
            1. Podcasting fits into organizational communication by attracting an audience through its advertising through the podcast, since podcasting started by bloggers who wanted to get their opinions out. The podcasting is played over the radio so people can listen to it without dealing with advertisements or other radio issues. It is also easier to get in contact with their own audience with the podcast, as those are not interested in the subject can just listen to something else.
            2. The speaker says that podcasting extends messaging because it allows the one who is hosting the podcast to spread their opinions and share it, They can go into a description about what they do at their company and what they wish to share for several minutes to hours without any interruptions. The radio and TV only have a certain set of time to explain what they wanted to explain, while a podcast has an extended amount of time. It is easier to control what goes in the podcast then it is in other types of advertisements.
            3. It encourages participation by making it sound like that this is something that the speaker is generally interested in. In this podcast the speaker mentions a podcast about Starbucks and in the first episode it was obvious that the speaker was reading off of a script instead of speaking from the heart. If the audience can tell if the speaker is faking it then they will not be interested. If they got the audience involved in the podcast then, it would sound more genuine, there is also calling people over the phone like radio shows do, this makes them sound interested in the audience.
4. Try to draw the audience in, have length and frequency, and have a network. Podcasting have these elements because it is what helps keeps the audience interested in what is being said on the podcast. They need to keep the audience’s attention with how long it is and they need the network to prove what they are saying is legitimate and this makes the audience want to listen.

5. Digital media gets applied to broadcasting by using use of material that is accessible by everyone both by the use of media, and being in front of an audience, similar to what this podcast was like. This is why podcast is part of digital media.
